In fashion there’s no winter without fur. And it doesn’t matter how many people will protest against wearing fur and how many times they will try to persuade us, fashionistas that it’s cruel and unnecessary – fur is always back for winter.
Great designers don’t deny that fur is a part of the industry and some of them have even a funny excuse to the accusation of killing animals.
The fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has defended the fur industry saying it is justified because the “beasts” fur comes from would “kill us if they could.”
Fur for Fall 2009 and Winter 2010
Fur has always been a leading trend for winter and this time it is hotter than ever. It’s not only about how many different styles of fur you can wear but also about the variety of colours that you can choose from. Designers such as Giambatista Valli and Emilio Pucci subtly dyed their fur green or blue while Dolce & Gabbana made a big impact with a crazy pink faux fur.
