The Oscars 2012 gala and the afterparties including Vanity Fair and Elton John’s bash brought Hollywood’s A-List together to honour the night’s big winners in style. As of the fashion trends, there were mostly classics: impeccable shades of red, beautifully shimmering gold ensembles, timeless long sleeve gowns and elegant all-white.

The best dress of the week was Katy Perry’s skin-tight latex dress incorporating USA and England flags. Katy beat Jessica Alba, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Blake Lively whose dresses were interesting but not that artful.
