A bright highlighter and a rosy blush are the hottest beauty duo in spring summer 2011. Go for the glowing, silky, smooth skin with such a radiant pair that imitates your face’s beahaviour when it feels the first sunshine.
Such a modest yet seductive makeup is a compromise between the bold lips and eyes in neon colours, and a classical ‘no-makeup‘ look based on pastels and nudes. The bright highlighter and a rosy blush let you go for the fresh-face look by accentuating a glowing complection. This minimalistic beauty trend is a great opposition to the statement colours we’re seeing this season. And, of course, it’s a quick and easy way to wake up your makeup look without million tutorials. As seen in: Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant, Balmain.
Step 1: Starting from a central part of you face, apply some foundation with a brush. Choose the one that will blend away blemishes, neutralize redness and therefore help you achieve a plain skin colour.
Step 2: Use a highlighter to accentuate you cheekbones, temples, superciliary arches, a chin, and a Cupid’s bow (the double curve of a human upper lip).
Step 3: Dab some coral or pink blush to you cheeks using a circular motion. Remember to keep your eyes and lips in the same colour scheme which means minimal eye and lip makeup like for example brown eyes, and a natural colour lip gloss.
