We cannot display this galleryLa Perla’s collection for spring summer 2009 is a fine example of what I really love in fashion and – what makes me even happier – it points out the main trends for the forthcoming season. Basically, La Perla wants us to get back to Seventies and this means mini, midi and maxi skirts, ultra short shorts, long dresses inspired by the hippy era of the late sixties and floral patterns.
We cannot display this galleryPhillip Lim is an American fashion designer of Chinese ancestry, who was once a design assistant at Katayone Adeli. After that he followed up with his own projects. He named his signature collection 3.1, after the age when he made his solo break. A spring summer 2009 collection by 3.1 Phillip Lim is a result of a romance of geometric prints and a Chinese culture fascination.
We cannot display this gallerySalvatore Ferragamo is a fashion house, founded in Florence in 1927 by Salvatore Ferragamo himself. Ferragamo – as a shoe designer – dedicated his life on discovering the secret of perfect-fitted shoes. After his death in 1960, his wife Wanda took over the running of the business. The last two Salvatore Ferragamo collections were created by Cristina Ortiz.
We cannot display this galleryMarni is known for their cheerful Italian taste, which includes layers, colours and unique patterns. Their spring summer 2009 collection is like Jackie O. wearing stripes and some other different textures, especially big dots. Why Jackie O.? The thing is, that they try to arrange this mess into a classic form.
We cannot display this galleryWhoa! Plein printemps et été en Fashion Allure! Today I found loads of HQ Milan spring summer 2009 Ready-To-Wear pics from various shows, including Salvatore Ferragamo, La Perla, Missoni, Jil Sander, Marni, Pollini and Just Cavalli. Today’s the day for a little presentation of Just Cavalli collection and you can expect the rest to be presented very soon.
We cannot display this galleryInbar Spector, the Israeli-born creative was named ‘a designer to watch’ by Vogue themselves. She (!) presented her gothic vision during the London Fashion Week and here are some of my thoughts on her spring summer 2009 show. I must confess I was kind of shocked when I saw this show, I mean, it’s not about how shocking the designs were, but about the way of presented hair and make up, in particular.
We cannot display this galleryDsquared’s designs for spring and summer 2009, just like D&G’s, have included various proves of – as I have called it – a ‘marine couture’. Looks like this spring and summer we’re all going to spend at the harbour, or at least in the city, pretending we’re at some maritime spa.
We cannot display this galleryA fabulous collection of dresses! Stella has done it – as always – with an undisputable fascination of feminity. I mean, like answering a question if there is a really more fascinating creature than a woman.
So what is in by Stella? Pastel and satin dresses and skirts, cequins, flowery elements, defined waistline, clutches and totes. Just check the full article by clicking on the heading.
We cannot display this galleryD&G right from Milan! I’m not particularly a fan of this collection, but it’s rather interesting taking into consideration Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s interest on the marine couture as I would call it. If you’d like to prove you like this collection then grab yourself a bargain from your grandma’s closet and get a navy top with sequins and a white anchor at the front!
