Whoa! Plein printemps et été en Fashion Allure! Today I found loads of HQ Milan spring summer 2009 Ready-To-Wear pics from various shows, including Salvatore Ferragamo, La Perla, Missoni, Jil Sander, Marni, Pollini and Just Cavalli. Today’s the day for a little presentation of Just Cavalli collection and you can expect the rest to be presented very soon.
Roberto has created another wild-life-inspired line for women with lots of elements, remarkable for his designs. He’s known for his animal prints and basically, outfits especially dedicated to the women who aren’t shy with fashion and who simply go for it. His spring and summer 2009 collection is a quite provocative and very colourful one – with lots of sexy pinks, fresh greens, gentle lilacs and summer yellows.
Ladies, be prepared – it’s going to be hot! If Just Cavalli was said to prepare a weather forecast, they’d predict a truly hot summer, so his ideas on how to survive are: lace-covered dresses and see-through blouses of different textures. If you don’t want to show it all, then try ruffled dresses – another trend taken from the fall 2008 and winter 2009 catwalks.
Quite an interesting trend presented by Just Cavalli is a printed faces trend, which is used on t-shirts and dresses. He’s accessorized them with oversized jewellery, like brooches and mariner-style necklaces. There was also a 20s-inspired highlighted waist trend, often represented by a slim waist belt. Also: baggy trousers, cropped leopard print jeans and as for shoes – sandals and wedges.
I think his collections are a synonym to the expression ‘just a bit too much’, but they’re still very popular with the crowds, so I’d better shut up!
