Fall fashion is in the air and new designs are being created avidly all around. Jackets, brocade dresses and boots are some of the developments that have been seen on the runways. Most of the trends are being set by high-end designers of the fashion industry and though not everyone can afford them, keeping an eye out for them means you can follow them on your own terms.

Here’s two cents on how to keep up with the latest high-end fashion for fall 2014.

Tops & Bottoms

Punk fashion sets the right mood for the season with its dark colours mixed with bright shades that serve as the perfect transition from summer to winter. Therefore, feel free to opt for some innovative graphic tees and pair them with ripped jeans, which are also in line with this year’s fall fashion. Other kinds of pants to look out for are striped jeans and monochrome bottoms.

Accessories

In terms of fall accessories, metallic colours necklaces are going to remain in fashion regardless of their use during the summers. This is perhaps a frugal trend as the accessory may come out of your summer wardrobe and save you from spending on a new one.

Designer bracelets with spiked detailing, beaded cuffs in multi-colour combinations and thick chain bracelets in gold would also look splendid with any outfit you choose. Thin metallic coloured belts would be a good option with dark toned dresses as they can spruce up the outfits in a subtle fall manner.

Dresses

Textured metallics are all the rage, and this brocade dress takes the trend in a refined direction

When it comes to formal wear, brocade dresses are becoming the rage. They are no longer restricted to the set of Gone With the Wind and have been designed in styles just right for the modern women. Most prominently, brocade dresses are being styled knee length and strapless. For semi-formal to casual wear, shirt dresses is the style choose. Formal coats may be the go-to fashion for some, but it is recommended to keep them on the low side in 2013.

Footwear

Sergio Rossi ankle boots

Simple black leather ankle boots with an interesting detail will finish your look on an edgy note

Boots are the first thing that comes to mind as soon as the weather turns cold, but it is important to note the kind that will be suitable in the fall season. First off, thigh high boots are the trend to follow if you prefer longer boots to wear with your outfits.

Thigh high boots are a little tricky to pull off, but if you think you have what it takes to flaunt them – go ahead. If long boots are not your forte, you can go with ankle high boots that feature a little bit of heel for some added height.

Jackets

warm fur parka

Extreme cold weather calls for a warm fur-lined parka

When it comes to jackets, there are several choices you can go for, but there is one kind of jacket that is easily the winner; the parka. We say this with reverence because the parka is, for both formal and casual wear, the trending jacket for this season. A parka in dark colour tones (yet not black) styled with a fur lined hood would set the tone.

High-end fashion trends may seem restrictive, but there is always room for you to personalize a trend according to your taste. Also, keep the level of comfort in mind when choosing any outfits or accessories. How do you plan to make a personal style statement this fall? Feel free to leave comments.
