Summer Sale is on now, but before you go and empty your wallet, here are some fashion pieces that should grab your attention. Although these clothes and accessories come from Summer collection, they top the style charts because they can easily transform your looks into fall. Here is a list of great products I picked up on sales and the tips on how to style them for the new season.
Bold colours
While Spring Summer season was dominated with pastels, Fall Winter is going to be much more colourful. Think bold, luminous colours from your childhood paintbox. I found these lovely pink jeans on sale and I am sure they are going to be the great base for Fall outfits. Choose a light denim shirt or a white oversized blouse to pair with coloured jeans just like these ones.
Brogues
Brogues are a huge trend for Fall, and they are a great alternative to the dress shoe. The fine stitched detailing makes this shoe different than any other. Brogues scream class, confidence, and sex appeal. Grab a pair asap! In summer, wear them with a leather cap and shorts for the ultimate hi-lo mix. In fall, go for an overall menswear-inspired look and wear brogues with a trouser suit.
Cardigans
You need to have a cardigan in your closet. It is especially handy in fall when fashion is all about layering. Cardigans can also be a lifesaver in summer when people overuse air conditioning in the office. Just pick your favourite sundress, belt it, add a cardigan and a pair of cute flats. Choose a dress that is pleated (very trendy!) or that resembles that of a sheath dress.
Prints
From Givenchy and Manish Arora to Peter Pilotto and Mary Katrantzou, Fall 2014 runways were loaded with bold prints. Designers take prints to new extremes and get more creative in mixing different colours. The result are newfound combinations which take from fauna, flora, digital art, and abstract. To avoid the pain of pairing clashing prints, go for a printed dress which paired with demure leather open toe booties and a ladylike satchel makes a complete fall outfit.
Monochrome
It is not madness; there is no better colour combination than black and white. As the looks from Balmain and Bottega Veneta demonstrate, clothes adorned with hypnotic images and optical illusions are the most impressive. The other trend is mixing monochrome separates in different patterns and textures to achieve a fall-forward look. To recreate the trend, use this graphic short sleeve square knit sweater from Cavells.
